Changes for Version 9.20

Webbit-CMS Version 9.20 has some changes to the buttons which appear when you ask to edit the parts of a webpage.

In Version 9.20 the buttons which are used to create, edit and delete text or features on a page have been changed so that you can control when those buttons are visible and when they are not.

eg. Responsive Menu or Header or Zone 0

When you use the shortcut described above introduced in Version 9.14, a button appears at the top of each of the zones which up the webpage. These are displayed as yellow text on a gray button. These buttons act as toggles to allow you to turn ON and OFF the detailed Create / Edit / Delete / Layout / Explain and HotLink buttons for each Zone.

In previous versions, once you were in edit mode, all of the buttons were displayed and this posed a visual distraction. You can now turn on these buttons for the specific Zones that you want to see and then hide them again when you are done.

Changes for Version 9.14

The Shortcuts:

When you are working on your website, there is a Control Panel which is launched by clicking on the red and blue button at the upper left corner of the webpage. That button has now been modified so that when a shortcut is available, it will appear at the bottom of the panel as shown above. This saves going into Control Panel to trigger those commands.

To launch the Control Panel, just click on the 3 red lines on the button as before. To hide the Control Panel, just click on those 3 red lines and it will shrink back to the red and blue button again.

  1. When there is an asterisk (*) showing at the bottom of the Control Panel Button, clicking it will DISPLAY all of the Zone Information.

  2. When there is a letter (x) showing at the bottom of the Control Panel Button, click it will HIDE all of the Zone Information.

If you do not see either the (*) or the (x), that means that those shortcuts are not applicable to what you are doing right now.

What Got Cut?:

  1. In previous versions, when you changed information on a webpage, the update program would display an 'information screen' to confirm what changes it had made to the Zone within the webpage. We have now eliminated that confirmation page and return you directly to the webpage that you were editing to see the results.

  2. In previous versions, when you added or edited a calendar event using the popup Event Editor, the program would display an 'information screen' to confirm what changes it had made to the calendar. We have now eliminated that confirmation page and show you a rendering of that new or updated event in that same popup window.
