Cognitive Dissonance and its Relativity to Society and Religion

This second summer Sunday service will look at cognitive dissonance and its relevance to religion and society.  Can you hold diametrically opposite beliefs and values without feeling psychological discomfort and how do you behave when confronted with irreconcilable information?
