Volunteer Opportunities
Current Opportunities
Radical Inclusion Committee (formerly the membership committee).
The aim of the group is to:
- Welcome visitors to the congregation
- Seek opportunities to engage Members and Friends
- Identify ways in which to make UCG more accessible and inclusive and implement them
- Increase accessibility for Members of the Global Majority (BIPOC members), people with physical and/or mental disabilities, people living in poverty, LGBTQQIP2SAA and beyond.
Please email Holly at admin@guelph-unitarians.com for more information. (We especially need people to greet people at the door before services once a month. What a great way to meet people in our community!)
Gardener
We need a volunteer to maintain UCG’s garden. As a “side perk” this opportunity comes with an optional gardening plot at the rear of the building, great for growing veggies!
If interested, please email helen.prinold@guelph-unitarians.com
Nursery Help
We miss our families! Many in our community would like to attend services, but are currently facing barriers due to a lack of childcare and RE programming. Are you the special someone who can help us? It could also be a great part time job for a high school student, as there is a small renumeration involved.
If you can help, or have ideas to share about how to restart our nursery program, please let Holly know at admin@guelph-unitarians.com.
(Holly would also love to hear about other programming ideas for kids– not necessarily on Sundays…)
